Clemens en August, the touring store. Publicized mainly by word-of-mouth, this men and women ready-to-wear brand has no stock in retail stores. Each season, Clemens en August tours international cities, staying at museums and galleries for three days at a time. This tour system allows Clemens en August to cut out the retail margin and offer a new kind of exclusivity based on limited availability and not on a high price ticket.
In addition, Clemens en August were showing a collaborative piece by Liam Gillick. The piece, a pair of shoes, titled Left Shoe, Right Shoe was on show as part of the international tour and made to order for customers wishing to buy.
